The School Day

School gates open at 8.30 am; we have a free-flow entry into school. Reception children enter the school via their outdoor area; KS1 children and parents walk round to the Year 1 and 2 doors where they are met by an adult. KS2 children are allowed to walk done the path, onto the playground and into school on their own. Teachers welcome children into class during a quiet reading session, before the register is taken when the doors are closed at 8.50 am.

Children who attend Breakfast Club, which starts at 7.45 am, enter via the front entrance, where a member of the Breakfast Club team welcomes them.

Parents are not allowed to enter the school via the children's entrances - messages can be passed to senior staff who welcome children at the gate, on the path and on the playground or by chatting with our office team. Alternatively, KS1 and Reception parents can pass messages to adults on door duty.
